Sliding Scale in St. Lawrence & Franklin Counties

Effective September 1, 2007, CP Family Health Care Centers in St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties were designated Federally Qualified Health Care Centers (FQHC). The designation accompanied $600K of Federal Grant monies which will allow the two clinics to reach out to the uninsured and underinsured residents of these counties to provided primary health care, health education and clinical case management services.

On January 1, 2008, a sliding fee scale was initiated in both counties for some services for individuals who are at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. Discounts will be given according to income and family size. Primary care and some dental services are eligible for the sliding fee scale in St. Lawrence County, as well as Primary Care services in Franklin County. CP Family Health Care Centers look into 2008 with the plan of hiring more medical and professional staff, expanding clinic services, and participating in community events that promote healthy lifestyles and education.
